When The Rain Comes

Song of the day: When the Rain Comes, by Third Day.

More like song of the week.

You know, sometimes a song just captures you. And suddenly it finds itself on endless repeat. And you just sit there listening, captivated.

What is it about a song that just says, This is what life is about right now?

Sometimes, it makes me think of someone I know, and in my head, that song becomes theirs, at least for the time being. Sometimes, I find my own situation in the words, somewhere. Sometimes, it just seems to be about everything that matters to me right at this very moment. And sometimes, it says what I feel better than I could even know how to say it myself.

The song of the week, for me, is When the Rain Comes, by Third Day. This is how I feel right now. This is the song I'm singing. This is what I want you to hear, and know, and always remember. If you haven't heard it, click here to listen to what's playing in my mind.

I can't stop the rain
From falling down on you again
I can't stop the rain
But I will hold you 'til it goes away
